Unless you are a real history or Civil War buff, most folks ignore these smaller out of the way battlefields you seldom read about in the history books for the big ones like Shiloh, Gettysburg, etc. Regardless of size or importance relative to the outcome...More

Great historical lesson in place and super staff behind the desk. The facility is very well taken care of and the access to audio lessons through the cell phone is very helpful.

Really enjoy going to the National Parks. This location was full of history and very interesting. Wish we would have had time to visit longer and see more of the site.

It was a hot day, so we didn't hike all of it. We saw a lot of runners and bicyclists. It's such a beautiful place with a lot of history. I recommend comfy shoes to hike through the property and read the fact charts.

Relive the Civil War, here in South West, Missouri. This historic park was where some significant battles took place. Great place to walk, see wild deer. Many canons still in place.

This park reminded me of Gettysburg, which is high praise. It is the sight of the second major battle of the Civil War, and the only major battle in Missouri (though there were many skirmishes). This battle turned a lot more national attention on Missouri....More
