I've been going to Krohn for as long as I can remember. Usually, it's an annual trip during Christmas. However, I decided to pop in on a whim a few weeks ago on a weekday, just to unwind. The fresh air, the beautiful plants and flowers, the sound of the waterfall is all you need for a little spiritual pick-me-up.... More

If you are REALLY in to plants, then I suppose this is a good place to go. But we paid to get in and were not there long, there just isn't that much to see.

This, indoor arboretum provides a beautiful opportunity to view a diverse collection of plants in a serene setting. The building greets visitors with a vintage, glass exterior and is set conveniently in Eden Park. The water features add to the experience. Everything seems to be on a very human scale and can be enjoyed whether you have an hour or all... More

On a girls weekend with my college friends. Only $4 entrance and small but beautiful indoor gardens. Things could be a bit better labeled, but it is tranquil and just a beauty to behold. They had the Bayou exhibit while we were here and it was really nicely done.

The Krohn is a venerable institution in Cincinnati, built in an era when city leaders really valued public investment that would last for generations. We're annual pass holders for Krohn. It's a great place to spend an hour or 90 minutes with our young kids with reliable permanent features like a waterfall with a tunnel behind it and beautiful exotic... More

I travel a lot and have been to a lot of the big city botanical gardens and I must say our Cincinnati one is among the nicest. There is a good range of beautiful plants from all over the world. There are a few events they hold every year but the popular one everyone goes to is the butterfly show... More

My grandparents took em to the Krohn several times a year, I took my children and now take my grandchildren. It never gets old for me. Trains at Christmas and butterflies in the Spring are added bonuses but not really needed. Running away and behind the waterfall is a favorite activity of all children. Every visit I tell the kids... My boys and I go every year to the butterfly show at the Krohn Conservatory. We spend hours watching the butterflies, getting pictures with the ones that land on or near us and walk around the beautiful plants and trees.

Nice day out with wife and daughter.......Havent been here since childhood, we boght an annual pass, ($40) as the day visit would have been $20, Located in the Mt. Adams area, so cool, various landscapes including "jungle", "desert", etc. Nice easy walk and great history of how Krohn began. Bring a camera, and notebook for notes if into horticulture!

Krohns is lovely anytime of the year but we really enjoy visiting during the cooler months and its so nice and warm; a true reprieve in winter when it's especially beautiful. The gardens and the conservatory itself, are always pristine and a must for all ages
