Well worth a visit , when we were there the ice skating ring was open but loads of bars and places to eat. Take the load off and watch the world go by.

I believe that the German market that you are reference is 'Findlay Market' which is on the northwest side of downtown. I think that it is only open during daytime hours. It is better and livelier during warmer months
