This is a solid museum for a mid sized city as Cincinnati is.Located in the middle of a municipal park (Eden Park), it has an eclectic collection of objects and paintings. There are works by Cincinnati artists, past and present that have their own wing of the museum, cleverly called the Cincinnati Wing .Admission and parking are free due to generous... It was a pleasant surprise to find great architecture and cultural sites in this industrial region. This museum offers a good collection of paintings and interesting artifacts in an elegant setting. You'll be able to see anything from Greek sculptures and Egyptian sarcophagus to paintings from masters of Impressionism and Cubism. Good place to bring the family. Touring the general... More

Surprisingly large collection which is well displayed according to type and period. Would suggest at least scheduling 3 hours to see it all.

Enjoyed our time at the museum. I was surprised of how much antiquities they have from the middle east, some really old pieces.

This place was amazing. It is much bigger than what it appears on the outside. We went thinking we could get through the place in a couple of hours and then go for lunch we were wrong. We even went and planned to go through the Van Gogh exhibit but didn't get to make it to that either before our... More

A friend from out to town raved about our home grown museum. I just went to the special Van Gogh exhibit. It was not just Van Gogh but his contemporaries. Lunch is good there, reasonable too.

Enjoyed the art. Tthe security staff, however, were a bit over the top. We were surprised at how aggressive the security staff were, approaching us sternly to warn us when pointing with a piece of paper toward a canvas. Her words were "I know you didn't touch it, but you need to make sure you are an arm's length away... More

Went on a Saturday, was very busy, but well worth the trip. The Van Gogh exhibit was incredible. I did not get to tour the entire museum but did enjoy the European art section and some of the American art. There is plenty of staff around the museum if you have questions or get lost, etc.

We ostensibly went to the art museum for the Van Gogh exhibit, but to our delight found SO much more to enjoy! We did not allow enough time to see everything and so will definitely plan a return trip to spend the day. They have a wonderful gift shop and I bought many Christmas gifts. We were impressed with the... More
