The views were nice, but the wine is what makes this a great place to visit. The red blend hangs in there with the best of them and has a good price. The ice wine is uniquely wonderful, though it comes with a stiff price...More

Average is a generous rating, as this was one of four tasting stops in Walla Walla during the day and probably the least enjoyable. If you want a beautiful setting with a polished tasting process, this is the place. But the other stops we had...More

We attended a private event here recently and were very impressed with the location and the staff. The wines are definitely worth the visit, as are the views. I lost my phone here on the night of the event and when we went back the...More

Our first stop during our Walla Walla wine tasting trip with friends. The setting is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our tastings. Fun location on a beautiful day. Loved the outside patio and games.

Bought a bottle of their Syrah Rose' to have with our picnic lunch. It was REALLY windy in eastern Washington, but Basel's patio was protected,,, which allowed for an outside picnic. You could see the Blue's foothills in the distance with beautiful vineyards in the...More

This is a gorgeous property where you can taste outside and practically smell the grapes growing (time of year?) Very good wines and a pleasant tasting experience.

My bridesmaids and I stayed in the house during our girls weekend getaway before my wedding. It was a wonderful weekend getaway in a casual elegance setting. The big house had lots of nooks for privacy and large areas for a group of people. The...More

We're not big drinkers and don't know the first thing about wine. Would we be welcome here? Looking for the quintessential winery experience without feeling like an inconvenience to anyone.

I agree with mamacroc, just go in to enjoy yourself and earn. Don't treat the experience as something for just knowledgeable wine enthusiasts, but as a great new adventure. If it's a nice day, buy a bottle of your favorite... More
