This is a "must visit" experience that could 'conceivable' take more than a few hours if one is a history buff; well worth a second visit. The buildings exterior and interior construction, and its location atop that hill had to inspire early visitors with awe....More

If you love things from the Civil War, this museum is a must. The artifacts are unbelievable. There are toys, clothing furnishing. Everything you can image from the era. Don't miss if you have a chance.

While this building stood during the Civil War, it still looks as beautiful today. The artifacts vary from period pieces to more modern. Not really sure why Hummels need to be displayed but there aren't many so no big deal. The courtroom was like walking...More

Great little museum. The $5 admission was the right price. It only took me an hour to get through. I would recommend you not bring young kids.

An extensive collection of Civil War memorabilia, along with artifacts and displays about the history of Vicksburg itself. A lovely building, and well worth the time to visit.

How can you not visit a place that professes to have a minie ball bullet that impregnated a young Southern belle after passing through the testicles of a soldier! The advertised KKK exhibits were not on show, but personally they were not missed. A wonderful...More

As a civil war buff this place had lots to offer. I'm also a courthouse buff. The old courtroom made me feel like I was in to kill a mockingbird. Civil war artifacts were plentiful and interesting though I'd say there's a definitive southern slant....More
