Give yourself at least 3 hours to drive around, stop and view the sights. Read each sign to learn more and if you bought the CD tour, get insight to what happened at each major stop.

This is not a very big trail to follow. It can be done in about an hour. There are beautiful monuments all along the trail with interesting details and facts about each one.

This is indeed a very special trail. You get a bigger but better understanding on why Vicksburg was so important in the Civil War.
