Beautiful craftsmanship in the masonry, carpentry, and stained glass in this Episcopal chapel. Gift shop in a cabin at the back.

Worth the visit. Fascinating to see a church built honoring our solders and America. There is a guild inside the church explaining the windows and artifacts.

This is a small chapel built to honor George Washington. This is not part of the National Park. After hundreds of years, nothing was left of the encampment. This chapel was built to commemorate the presence of General Washington and his army. Worth a walk...More

We were lucky enough to bump into an elderly guy who told us so much history about this lovely chapel that we wouldn't have know otherwise. So interesting! Look up and down and spot the links! Really worth stopping.

Personally, I loved it. If you get off on cathedrals, you’ll like this one. It’s a part of the driving tour of the NP.

Imagine a cathedral, with all its fancy carvings and arches. Now shrink it so the pews only hold 4-5 people across. And it’s still an active church! Amazing! Go see!

This is an actual church, outside the national park, so be aware of the timing of worship services and other activities. It is stunningly beautiful, and was built to recognize George Washington and others who contributed to the building of this nation. The stained glass...More
