Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just had a few drinks at the bar. Bar staff Daniel very nice and friendly, attentive. There was a bit of confusion regarding my birthday coupon, but Daniel made it OK. The restaurant if upstairs and a nice open area. Drinks were good and the prices were typical. The music is really what it is all about!

We visited and dine in this place last Thursday(Sept 12) while they were celebrating the 80's musicians and bands revival... Respectful staff (Marissa) served our table and made extra mile in serving us the delicious food with care. We love so much how they covered the ceiling cover with guitars!!! The location of this place is right where the actions are!

Great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff, perfect night out in Honolulu. Everyone loved their food and for a family of 6, that’s pretty amazing. The salmon was delicious!

I have been to a hand few of Hard Rock Cafes and their customer service is really great. Their food well cooked and presented so it is a given that if there is a Hard Rock Cafe where ever I go I will eat there and always buy a shirt.

Great food and service. They have live bands on some evenings, however when we visited this time. The restaurant is nice as it is undercover but still quite open air looking out over Waikiki. Great cocktails too (and you can keep the HR Glass that it comes in). Try the ribs, they are yummmm.

Great place, popped in for a drink, we had a snack of flat bread, this was amazing. We weren’t really hungry. The roof has hundreds of guitars if your a bit of a guitar fan, this is fantastic. We were served by a young girl who was going to uni in Hawaii studying to b a teacher she was so helpful,

Under the terms of our family holiday traditions, we always dine at the Hard Rock on our first night in Waikiki. This tradition won’t have the chance to become a long-standing one as we won’t be coming back to the HRC.
I know that restaurants have to make money and waitresses need to make their tips, but the incessant up-selling of her ‘favourite (insert name of meal component)’ by Emilee quickly got tiring. If we had been guided by her choices, we’d still be there eating and would be off our faces.
The food was bland and fairly tasteless. The nachos lacked punch, but at least prepared me for the ribs as the two dishes seemed to share the same ‘spicy’ beans. The artichoke dip should be retired from the menu, at least after the current barrel is finished.
Whilst I realise that we were in a HARD rock venue, the music choices were boring, loud and went on far too long for a single track. We should have cut our losses after entree and headed downstairs to the merchandise store, as we were encouraged to do by our OTT waitress.

We prepaid for a Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu meal through Viator, having done this in other cities and having found it good value. This was not the case in Honolulu. The restaurant is beautiful, great location & set up, the staff were excellent. The package was to include soft drink, choice of burgers etc & "Chef's Dessert". The dessert we were to find was two choc chip cookies. For the price paid this did not represent good value, we would have been better not pre-paying for the voucher and buying the items from the menu individually. We ended up paying for desserts separately anyway, so the evening did not represent good value at all. Could not fault the staff who were brilliant. The restaurant itself is definitely worth visiting but pay as you go, don't use the prepaid option through Viator.

Went to Hard Rock on our first day in Honolulu, for a great way to start the 50th anniversary vacation in Hawaii. The staff was great, brought out an anniversary surprise and made it a great time. Food was great and the open air eating area is the place to eat. Amazing food, staff, and views of Hawaii.

Great experience. Service was good and the burger was absolutely amazing. Also their boozy cookies and cream shake. Definitely recommend!
