One of the principal Pearl Harbor Historic Sites, our unique interactive museum is located near the Battleship Missouri in the battlefield hangers of historic Ford Island which were attacked by the Imperial Japanese Navy on December 7, 1941, the beginning of WWII. Aircraft, such as a Japanese Zero and the Stearman in which former President George H.W. Bush soloed as the war's youngest aviator, illustrate how aviation helped stem the war. You'll view historic videos, including a movie of the beginning of the war. Enjoy the authentic gift shop, 1940s themed cafe Laniakea, and the combat flight simulators in which you can virtually fight the battle of Guadalcanal in either an American or Japanese plane.Pacific Aviation Museum's mission is to develop and maintain an internationally recognized aviation museum, which educates young and old alike, honors aviators and the support personnel who defended freedom in the Pacific Region, and is dedicated to preserving Pacific aviation history.

Wonderful museum. The bullet holes from the attack on Pearl Harbor on Hangar 79 brings history to present day. Since my father and Uncle fought in WWII, it had special meaning tto me

This was a really great experience. There is so much to see here, and aviation buffs will have a field day. On the outside of the building, there's the famous red and white tower many will recognize from the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

The quality and quantity of displays were impressive. I am primarily interested in WW2 aircraft, but a great display of jets from late 1940s through 1970s were also on display. Additionally, some sweet helicopters were also displayed.

This museum is a must see if you're interested in military/aviation history and visiting the Pearl Harbor area. Great displays with numerous fully restored WWII aircraft in the main museum. Plan on spending a couple hours here.

Take the guided tour. Dave was our guide and he took us a little closer to the exhibits then anyone else and told stories you would not get to here if you were just on the audio tour.
