I gave this a 2 star because of the condition and considered giving a 1 star. I would rate the harbor a 5 as a prime location, for accessibility, beautiful and extreme potential for views and atmosphere. In it's current condition you can still have...More

On your transfer from the airport to Waikiki Beach hotels you will drive pass this harbour. It is the largest small boat harbour in Hawaii and can give you some excellent photo opportunities. It is fairly easy to walk back and find this from the...More

This marine beside Magic Island looks picturesque during the day, but particularly at night. Unfortunately it is filled with floating rubbish which detracts significantly when you get a little closer. Despite this, many small fish seem to survive. A few hotels front this marina; apart...More

Northern end of Waikiki and much quieter and less built up. Worth a walk and good food from Gilligan's Shrimp Truck. Good for the Friday fireworks too.

It's amazing to me that yachting is not a more central theme throughout the islands given the marvelous ocean setting. It seems to get short shrift, and the Ala Wai is a perfect example. I get that the debris floating in the basin isn't just...More

We walked around the Ala Wai yacht harbor on our way to see the Friday night fireworks by the lagoon. Pretty average marina and a bit dirty.

A big and quite nice to look at yacht harbour.... But then everything on the water is good t look at in Hawaii. Lots of luxury boats and yachts. Pretty as a back drop to the views

Parts of the Marina are disgusting, filthy, smelly and not what you would expect to find. Surely with the fees the yacht owners are charged to have their boats here, could be put to good use to fix the problem that happens with the tides...More
