Lovely space. Conveniently located. Not easy for people with medical dietary needs.

As large convention centers go, this one is relatively pleasant and "small-scale." It doesn't feel as overwhelming as some (Orlando, Atlanta, New Orleans). The top floor is open to the outdoors, which is good and bad. It's beautiful and it lets fresh air in, but it also increases the heat/humidity of the areas outside the meeting rooms. . . . . . OK, the downside. I was really angry when I learned we were not allowed to bring lunch into the building. There is almost nowhere close by to eat lunch, and inside the convention center, there is a coffee shop but not really any food service, so I'm not sure how people are supposed to eat --- especially people with medical dietary restrictions. After surgery for abdominal cancer 5y ago, I have to eat small amounts frequently, avoiding carbs and prioritizing protein. I need to choose my meals carefully for medical reasons. I wish I could just eat at any snack bar I happen to come across, but I can't. It can make me feel really sick. This is for the rest of my life so I can be healthy. And I am certainly not the only person with medically based dietary needs. Anyway, after learning about the "no outside food" policy the first day, on subsequent days I simply packed a lunch in my hotel room, brought it to the convention center hidden it in a large purse, and ate it on the top floor of the convention center. (No one is policing the food regulations except at the entrances. If you walk in with a styrofoam take-away box, you'll be stopped. But no one is checking your bag at the entrance, or watching what you do once you're inside.) Oh, and a small coffee cost 7.50. I suppose that's normal, but it still irked, especially because it wasn't very good coffee. Most convention centers I've visited manage to have decent coffee when they charge you 7.50 or 10.00 for it.

My wife and I were invited on 2/22/20 to listen to jazz music in the Lili’u Room. The atmosphere was all about the music as patrons there were all hyped up and excitedly looking forward to a magical evening. Wine was served (per your ticket) and the managing of getting everyone inside to their seats before showtime was handled well. The room was well acclimated with the AC at a comfortable temperature, the seats were comfortable with little fold out tables to place your drinks on, and the overall employees (some volunteers) that worked that evening was very pleasant. What shocked me was the price of parking. It was a little high at $12 per vehicle. Otherwise, it was a great venue and a perfect place to hold the event. 🎶

Fairly easy to find, extremely grateful from an international visitor. The convention centre is fairly large and can accommodate a lot of people at any one time. Visited the Honolulu Expo and it had plenty of room to move.

I have attended many counseling conferences and this was the first in an open air venue, which was beautiful and inspirational. It was also a bit humid, which meant that business suits were not that best choice for conference goers. The venue lent itself to a more business casual context, which made me feel less formal about attending the conference itself.

We came back here on our return trip and walked around. There was a basketball convention going on with lots of people. The place works well for meetings and events.

Went here for the ISLH 2017 (a medical conference) in early May this year. This conference/business venue has huge halls, and is very accessible with escalators, abundant drinking water, lovely large clean toilets, and a semi-open air terrace for fresh air too.

I recently attended a LARGE conference at the convention center and was impress by the facilities, staff, service, and food. Meetings were held in large ballrooms or halls, and there was plenty of outside space as well to hold a couple of receptions. The food at the convention center is amazing. Breakfast, lunch, and the light food at the receptions were delicious!

Massive structure to tour, main floors are open air with air conditioned meeting rooms. Visited for large convention and everything went smoothly. Restrooms clean, good catering, good video and audio for presentations. Main ground floor room is massive and held over 12,000 attendees.

Capable of holding very large crowds, this convention center was a good choice for the CPCU Annual Meeting. The open air 4th floor was a fun place to have a few drinks after the speaker.
