Wish I had taken this tour years ago. Plan on spending at least 4 hours...getting to museum, tour, getting back to museum and then your hotel. But well worth 1/2 a day. Fabulous art, beautiful scenery and interesting background stories. A MUST see.

Pretty home with much beautiful and interesting Arabic artistry. Ocean views are amazing as well. Tickets must be booked ahead and include transportation, entrance fee to house and also the Honolulu Museum of Art.

We did a tour of both the Museum of Art and then Shangrila. It is something to see with it's spot on the ocean, the swimming pool, the tile work, the art everywhere. Thank you, Doris.

This is by appointment only, but I went to the museum and asked even though online was booked and they had space the next morning for my boyfriend and I. Beautiful and informative, very intimate tours.

Although locals do swim in front of there, access is not from the Shangrila property and ticket holders are brought to the location by bus and given a tour of the house and garden.
