This was the highlight of our trip and probably the best kept secret on the island. This is a guided tour of Doris Duke's mansion, filled with the most incredible Islamic art and architecture (also a killer view). You are picked up from the Honolulu...More

Having seen the book on Shangri La, we were delighted to visit this amazing house in person. Truly jaw-dropping mainly Islamic art in a magnificent location. It’s not prominent among the recommendations in guide books which was surprising, considering how unique the experience. All tours...More

We loved this place. Made reservations online with the museum. I would say go in the morning as it gets warm. The house is pretty amazing, and the beach and view at this place is to die for!

Doris Duke's legacy is well served in this wonderfully preserved, exquisitely executed gem. This is one attraction that I hope doesn't become a victim of its popularity.

This once private home of Patty Duke has an absolutely amazing collection of Islamic Art. The home itself is also a work of art. A must see.

The renovations do not impact on the tour at all. The only area that is being renovated is the pool area. But the tour is absolutely worth it. Please go.
