You do NOT have to book a tour with an agency for this day trip. Many busses leave from the Waikiki Beach hotel areas and from all over Honolulu and drop you in the parking lot of Hanauma Bay. The price to get in the...More

I love Hanauma Bay Natural Preserve. This is a great place to snorkle with the fish. It can be a little creepy have the fish touch you in passing by, but after a while it becomes cool. Looking at all the different colors. I don't...More

We live 10 minnutes away from Hanauma ......it cannot get better than this. Entry fee for Kama aina folks is free and $7.00 for adults for non-residents. A short orientation is mandatory for first timers and included in the entry fee. Trolley service from the...More

As told by our tour guide, this is one of the best places to snorkel. It was packed the day we visited.

One ticket will get you in for a few days. Nice beach. Nice snorkeling and safe and fun for little kids.

A must go, wonderful bay and 'safe' feel for snorkelling. This nature preserve is very informative once you are there about how it became a preserve and all information about the marine life there.

Easy snorkeling, nice beach. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and observe more fish. Rental car, the Number 22 bus or tour guide will get you there. It's about a 20 minute drive from Waikiki along some beautiful beaches before and after your...More

We visited Hanauma Bay and it was the best experience for anyone especially a non swimmer. Spent a couple of hours there and it was wonderful. I cant swim but was able to see the fishes and not have to go deep. We drove there...More

The view from the top is awesome. Once you get down to the beach that you pay to get on, it's all disappointing. It was very dirty. The dirtiest beach I went to the whole trip. Also the only beach I paid to get on....More

This was a good place to snorkel and see reefs with colorful fishes in the area. They show you and eight minute video and the things to do and not do. If you haven't been definitely a great place to visit and probably spend the...More

I believe you can. There were several families set up on the beach who seemed to be making a day of it. Probably a good idea for a beach day then you can just pop in and out of the water to snorkel throughout the day. The... More

Is it possible to rent a chair and umbrella to provide shade for an elderly member of our group? If not available there, any suggestions on where to get some in advance?

Hi, I didn't notice any hiring stalls. There was a lovely patch of grass just beside the life savers station and a large palm tree. The life guard was nice enough to provide a chair for my elderly Mother and Aunt. Hope this... More
