The Arizona is the memorial that gets al the attention at Pearl Harbor and rightly so. The Oklahoma memorial is very touching and just as important. The history of the Oklahoma is not known by a lot of visitors. Hundreds of men trapped in the capsized battleship and hundreds dead. This memorial is very touching with it monolithic marble post.... The Arizona was not the only tragedy on Dec 7th. This is a fine memorial to the men of the Oklahoma. See it with the Missouri.

This is a definite "must see" for everyone. It is very humbling and such an important part of our history. The younger people in our group were not interested in Pearl Harbor but we told them that we all needed to see it....and once we left, they were moved to tears.

As far as we are concerned this is a must visit excursion if you are in Honolulu, and have at least a half day available.

You walk by this when you visit the Missouri. It's just a simple wall with markers identifying who died. Nothing really special, but a solemn reminder of the magnitude of the event on Dec. 7, 1941.

The USS Oklahoma Memorial is a beautiful (though smaller) memorial to those who lost their lives on December 7, 1941 on the USS Oklahoma. It is located just outside of the entrance to the USS Missouri, so if you are not traveling to see the Missouri, you might not know it's there. It is definitely worth a visit, however, and... More

This has been added since our last visit 10 years ago so I was pleasantly surprised to find it. The markers used to memorialize those lost aboard the Oklahoma during the attack were especially thought-provoking.

The Oklahoma was one of the few on battleship row damaged beyond repair. A nice memorial has been set up with the names of the men. It is smaller and right at the entrance of the Mighty Mo. Take a few minutes and honor those seamen.

Across the street from the Might Mo, sits the USS Oklahoma memorial. Overshadowed by the Missouri, and USS Arizona Memorial, this monument to the over 400 sailors who perished on Oklahoma is definitely worth it. It takes you 20 minutes to go through so definitely don't miss it. You can run through it while waiting for the shuttle to the... More
