At Gone Surfing Hawaii, we live the motto, "Less Work / More Surf" because being in the ocean isn't just our job, it's a lifestyle and we love it. Our qualified instructors teach all ages fundamental techniques that can have anyone surfing in no time. So whether you're charging waves for the first time, or taking your skills to the next level, let us bring a little "More Surf" into your life. When you're ready to journey beyond Waikiki, join us for a full day's adventure along the North or East shores exploring surf spots, sights and local foods.

Gone Surfing Hawaii is a small, locally owned and operated company.

All Our lessons and Tours start on the sand with ocean awareness and safety. Then we get you right into the surf for a rush of wind and waves. No worries, our licensed instructors are trained in first aid and lifeguard CPR. Once in the water, we show you how to read the waves, position your take off, and the etiquette of wave riding. Whether you're a one-on-one type or you prefer fun with friends, our customized lessons and tours are built to make your adventure on the waves one to remember.

My 7 year old son and I took a private lesson with Trevor and Shaun. We have both surfed before and come from a surfing family. Needless to say we were pretty particular on who we wanted to take a lesson from. We made the best choice possible! Aloha!

We convinced my daughters' to try surfing while in Honolulu on vacation and I'm so glad that we got them a lesson with Gone Surfing! Bailey, their instructor, was great for them and made them both feel very confident on the board even though it was their first time surfing. Both have said it was their favorite thing they did... Aloha Timothy, Mahalo for your review and stoked the girls had a great time with Bailey. Our location, although a little further paddle, is a lot less crowded than the main part of Waikiki - we find it best for long waves and safety. Hope to see you guys again on your next holiday. \m/ More

I signed up for private surf while husband did private SUP at same time. Both of us were able to stand up and enjoy the time on water. Jake and Trevor were excellent and patient. They even let me come in early when I realized I was getting sea sick (after standing up 4 times on surf board I was... More

My husband was in Hawaii in January and he tried surfing with Gone Surfing. It was his first time and Trevor and Kevin were his instructors, who provided great instruction, direction and safety techniques. The husband absolutely loved it. It was such a great experience, we returned in March and he and our daughter went surfing. During this experience, Shawn... More

This is the second time in two years that my daughters have taken surfing lessons with this company. They are a great group of people who are kind, polite and engaging. They treat my teens with respect and make the whole experience fun! We will recommend Gone Surfing to anyone wanting to learn how to surf!

We decided to do this on our last day in Hawaii. I am so glad we did. We did a 2 hour lesson with photos. We went out on the water with our instructor Shawn and the photographer. We had so much fun and laughed so hard at ourselves. Shawn was a great instructor and we got a ton of... More

My wife and I had no prior experience, and felt that we got great friendly instruction in everything from how to try to stand to how to fall safely. Lesson started at the beach where we got the basics and then moved to the water. When we fell Trevor would point out our mistake to help us do better next... More

We booked this through our travel agent thought since four young adults were doing this, all would be together. When we called to confirm, wrong it was two different three hour classes. Eventually they decided to put all four together. When we arrived at the beach forty five minutes early, we looked for over an hour to find them on... More
