Downtown Honolulu is very busy but there is so much to see and do. Love the international market and the street entertainers!

This was our first visit to Honolulu and wonderfully surprised to find such a vibrant, rich, bustling environment at the its heart. Full of high end shops and restaurants. Great to browse/explore in daylight , but really comes alive during the evening hours. Constant buzz of people / traffic... a great place just to people watch or buy from these upmarket... More

Enjoyed the walk around downtown. The mix of cultures of the islands can be seen everywhere. One thing tourists need to be aware of is that the police in Honolulu do not like jay-walkers. Cross only with the lights and in cross walks. Never cross in the middle of the street. Break that law and a large fine is in... More

This is a shopping destination for high end shoppers. If you are looking to overpay for name branded items, this is the place for you.

Nice beach when you finally get there! Traffic is impossible too many cars not enough roads! Be prepared and be patient. Waze could not help, traffic is every where!! Once you get here stay on foot, better for your health anyway!

Lots of people never venture into downtown Honolulu and stay out at the beach. Truth be told we do like Waikiki but a morning or afternoon downtown is great. Museums, the palace, monuments, state house. Lots to see. Stick to the nightlife on Waikiki though

Like many American cities downtown Honolulu outside of the financial district is showing signs of neglect. These signs include a rundown appearance, gang tags, and a lack of business at night. However Chinatown is beginning to revitalize itself. New restaurants targeting local people are popping up. Also locals say that solutions are being discussed in city political circles to correct...
