We took this tour as none of us had every been inside a submarine. It was very interesting experience. Try to book a time when there are not too many people as it can be very slow with crowds.

It's truly amazing that those sailors could survive and operate so well in such a cramped space - they truly were the great generation. The tour through the submarine is fascinating and the ship has been beautifully preserved. Absolutely well worth the time to visit.

Not all of our group of 9 took this tour, but those of us who did loved it. It's a very small space, so if you have any tendencies of claustrophobia, about mid way, you are wanting out, but that teaches you a new respect for our service men who are on submarines. Very informative.

A true understanding of the living conditions of submariners in a narrow metal tube beneath the sea was gained from visiting this memorial. You can truly visualise how compact life was for personnel on board this war vessel. Being in the torpedo compartments & control engine rooms was an awesome experience. I am glad I was there to experience it... More

If you are interested in history and military, this is a "must see" for you. submarine from 1940s, the audio guide is included in admission and the submarine is not big, so to explore it will take you up to 30-45 minutes.

Visited this after Arizona Memorial. $12 per person for walkthrough tour. They ran out of headsets so we went without. Amazing to walk through this 1945-launched sub and see how cramped and complicated everything was. Hard to believe people actually went to war in something like this. Very hands on and got to see everything.

We've visited submarines in our area; however I thought the audio guide really helped bring to life the experience of living in the Bowfin.

Walking through one of our subs that took out over 45 Japanese ships was amazing. And to see how small the conditions for the men were and knowing how many other subs were lost during the war was just an amazing experience.

Started with an audio recorder. The audio explanation was very good. Each part of the sub was numbered so type the number in the audio box and listen to explanations and some of the crew talking about their experiences. Took lots pictures.
