Though I'm not always a fan of audio tours, this one is especially well done. On the Biwfin, you can listen to straight info about each room then continue if you wish to hear a first person account of experiences aboard the sub. The Museum was also great. We spent a long time reading the stories and seeing the artifacts... More

Come early before a session to the Memorial and check out the view, photos, shops and the Bowfin. There are restrooms and a snack bar. You pay to use a small device that guide you from a starting point and through each section of the Bowfin, don't forget your camera and dress comfortable.

Very cool to go inside the submarine. It was hard to believe that they had to live for so long in such close quarters. It reminds me how much we owe to our military.

As part of our trip to Pearl Harbour. However, having seen it, I did not take the advantage of going into the Submarine as I had a fractured ankle and did not want to risk any damage.

Great experience after visiting the Arizona memorial, especially if you have never been in a submarine.

Take the audio guide and come on board the Bowfin. Some of the racks (beds) are nestled among the torpedos. The doorways are small. There is no wasted space. I couldn't live like that. But my hat is off to anyone who can. Seeing their quarters really gives you respect for submariners.

First, you need to know they don't allow small children on the tour. Next, they loan you a headset to listen to narratives of many locations on the sub. The sub is kept in immaculate condition. It is an amazing peak inside the life a submariner. There are stairs and small hatches to go through. It is not handicap accessible,... More

If you have ever been aboard a WWII era sub, then you don't need to see this one. There was a line of people, who moved very slowly through the sub. The area is very tight, and you can't really pass anyone. It was getting fairly hot and claustrophobic. I've had both of my knees replaced and had a little... More

Definitely worth the $ on your visit to Pearl Harbour. Be sure to take your time and listen to all the editorials at each stop, total time was ~30-40 minutes. Hard to get through the tight doorways, so not recommended if your mobility is restricted!

We did the tour and it was informative. You can do it on your own as well. We used the Go Oahu card. Be prepared for cramped spaces. If you are claustrophobic I wouldn't recommend it. Really cool to see all the old instruments that were used.
