    Disappointed
Went there to see Aloha Tower. However, visitors are not allowed to climb up the stairs to the top. Disappointed. We did read the information on display regarding the tower. Glad to have learn a part of Hawaiian history. Many restaurants were not open and there were very few visitors. If you walk away from the marketplace, you will see cruise ship waiting for the passengers to return from shore

Great show but no picture included
The show was amazing ! Bought a package that included souviner pictures and a mai Thai , sadly no picture was included but the food was great and the show was very educational . So no celebrity package , an extra drink for $70 not worth it , drinks are $18

Lousy mall by a great landmark
Aloha tower is one of famous Oahu landmarks standing by the cruise terminal. This is the only thing worth coming, as the mall around is semi closed with not much to do. It wasn't open to climb and I don't know if it's even allowed.

A Scenic Landmark with Rich History
Aloha Tower is a must-visit landmark in Honolulu, offering a blend of historical significance and breathtaking views. Standing tall since 1926, this iconic tower served as a welcoming beacon for travelers arriving by sea. The atmosphere around Aloha Tower is lively, with shops, restaurants, and entertainment options in the Aloha Tower Marketplace. It’s a great place to explore, dine, and enjoy the waterfront. Overall, Aloha Tower is a fantastic destination for history enthusiasts also for tourists.

This area seemed about dead. Several of the restaurants (such as Hooters) have closed recently leaving the Sphagetti factory alone. The few retail stores are not worth the trip and it appears most of the market space has been consumed by the college that is now using retail spaces for conference rooms. Even the tower itself seemed run down which is a shame as it is part of the history.

Marketplace? OK. It’s a pretty standard retail area.
But Aloha Tower itself, now there’s a piece of history. It’s a shame that the majesty of the tower seems lost in the “retail vitalization” of the area. Only a couple of faded and ill maintained storyboards describing the tower.
Lost to history in favor of yet another dose of retail.
Pity.

Our Uber driver was curious why we wanted to be dropped off here as it is really now a complex of Hawaii Pacific University. We came to view the Aloha Tower and nice ocean view. There is only one restaurant that is open, at least we saw on our walk by the water.

The Aloha Tower is not open, just a photo opportunity. Luckily we had planned a nice walk down to the SALT district, so this was not a trip wasted. Would not budget too much time for this area. Just a nice stroll.

We stopped here to see the Aloha Tower, which is at the center of this marketplace. Unfortunately the tower was closed due to repairs, but it was worth the trip to see the Marketplace. It's a very pretty, open air shopping area, with a variety of stores, from souvenirs to furniture. There are also several restaurants. We went to Don Ho's grill for lunch, which was very good. It's nice to walk around, with palm trees and metal statues representing Hawaiian culture (e.g. a young girl dressed in traditional garb). It's right by the water as well. A few blocks away is the Iolani palace and other historic places. Although it was smaller, we enjoyed it more than Ala Moana mall.

Like others I found that the parking lot is run by the worst cretins in Ohau. We were taking the star of Honolulu and my wife is disabled. Like many disabled people she is a bit slow. The attendant could hardly restrain the glee with with which she charged the rate of $6 an hour for ($3 per half hour for the extra few minutes. I resent Trip advisor for requiring that you give at least one circle.

Aloha Tower Marketplace could have been a gem due to its lovely location. However, poor management has run it to the ground and most of the shops and restaurants are now closed. The Aloha Tower itself is worth a visit. You can take the elevator to the observation deck at the top and it is free of charge. The problem is the parking. You have to pay $1.50 per hour, but it goes up to $3 per half hour if you stay longer than 3 hours. We took a whole watching cruise on Star of Honolulu and had to park there. We were one minute over 3 hours, and were charged the extra $3 for the 1 minute, even though we were waiting in line for 5 minutes to get out. The attendant claimed he was the manager for all three parking lots. If someone was the manager, you would expect them to have the authority and good judgment to not charge clients for waiting in line. Another example of no aloha and losing valuable kama'aina customers. So, this beautiful location (where cruise ships dock) is going to be wasted on student dorms for a private university. What a shame.

We have been to the Aloha Tower Marketplace several years ago and it was a very nice little shopping area. So we went there on our vacation to Hawaii this year and found that almost all the shops were gone. According to their website there is shopping, dining and enterainment. We only found one restaurant and a couple of kiosks that were having a close out sale. It took us about 15 minutes to walk through the entire marketplace to see that the shops were gone and we returned to the parking lot to get our car. We were charged $5.00 by the parking lot attendant just to stop and see that the Aloha Tower Marketplace was basically closed. What a rip off!
