The tower was once a very famous place, but is past its glory. That still doesn't detract from the fact that you can take an elevator to the top and take in the views for free. The dinner cruise ship departs from a dock next...More

It was an amazing sight from the top of the tower. You could see for miles and miles. The down side was that there were not any shops open as it was advertised. They closed all the shops and market place and made it into...More

Aloha Todd, Since re-opening in August 2015, the marketplace is now home to Hawaii Pacific University, Palama Express, Crossfit Downtown, Hooters Hawaii, Nashville Waikiki, Gordon Biersch, and Pearl Coffee Hawaii. Most of the shops have closed up. Open saw a office (closed for the weekend) and a restaurant (that was open) here...........no shops. You have to go elsewhere if you want to shop. It has a nice walkway and the Aloha tower is there but...More

The Aloha Tower itself, once Hawaii's tallest building and an historic landmark, is itself definitely worth a visit, at least for those who like historic, iconic buildings and nice views. The building was a landmark and for many years the iconic symbol of arriving in,...More

We visited on a Saturday. Very quiet with only a few places open. BUT the free access to the tower with stunning views was worth the detour.

Our cruise ship stopped close to here so we jogged over to check out the Tower and the marketplace. The Tower IS cool as you can go up to the 10th floor, for free, and see on the observation deck a 360^ view of Honolulu....More

So disappointing this attraction is closed Saturdays and Sundays. Its a fairly long bus trip out to the Aloha Tower only to find it closed on a Saturday. Lots of for rent store spaces. Old Spahgetti Factory is moving from Ward Warehouse in the Fall...More

We visited the market place and tower as it was close to our cruise ship berth. There may have been a thriving shopping centre once upon a time but sadly no longer. Most of the units are closed down and those that remain are affiliated...More

We made reservations at a waterfront restaurant for lunch. We arrived early and saw some shops so thought we'd check them out. Unfortunately for us, most of them were closed. We did walk around and saw some cool tropical fish near the ships afterwards.
