Beautiful walk through the zoo this morning. Landscape is well kept and interesting. People of all ages seemed to be enjoying themselves there. $19/adult- We spent about 2 hours walking around & didn’t see everything. Nice variety of animals. Numerous zookeepers working throughout.

My husband and I came here to waist time until we had to leave for the airport, and we were a little disappointed. With if being the off season a lot of the animal enclosures were closed. They had a notice board outside before entering,...More

My mom and I got to the zoo just in time for the sloth talk. They are such amazing animals and the keeper was so knowledgeable and took the time to answer all questions without rushing. The grounds are full of amazing foliage and gardens....More

Overall, the zoo grounds are kept very nice. Many of the animal displays were closed or under repair and therefor many were not available to be seen. They have plenty of turtles to see. The Bird display was very nice and there were many other...More

I have been to this zoo a handful of times in my life, and it's actually pretty impressive for being right in Waikiki. Better yet, they have a legit kama'aina rate of $8 versus the standard $19. Most places that offer a kama'aina rate means...More

We flew into Honolulu this morning and wanted something to do to keep the kids awake to try and avoid jet lag. They absolutely loved it. Was not too busy and we got the opportunity to see lots of animals. Signs were very dated compared...More

The zoo has a great layout and lots of exotic animals: birds, cats, large mammals, apes, etc. Saw so many I won't recall them all. But was surprised to see the lion taking a nap and a tiger who knew exactly how to hide from...More

I love the zoo. Hadn’t been there in 17 years. Was awesome to see the changes. Enjoyed sharing it with my fiancé as well.

The zoo is very easy to get to. It's on the main strip by Waikiki beach. Its within walking distance from several shops, restaurants and hotels. Very clean. Very reasonably priced.

Zoo has a good layout and a pretty nice aviary. Our issue was that all of the big animals were missing except for the giraffes. The tiger was locked up. The cheetahs were absent. No rhino or elephants in their enclosures. Like I said, hardly...More

I did not see any so my suggestion would be no, only service dogs. If you want to go give them a call when you are there they will be only too pleased to answer the question better than I can for you.

It is set up by the hour so you deposit enough money to cover the time you estimate your visit.. it is paid into a machine near the entrance. You can always exit to add money and re-enter.
