    Favourite mall!
Our favourite mall in the world! It’s got all our favourite American shops and a variety of eateries. It’s huge! It took us a couple of days to find our way around as it’s vast, but once you work out where things are, you’re good to go.

    Exciting place
A big shopping mall. Many shops, restaurants and people. After coming out from ABC store, we saw a show at the center stage. A traditional dance event was taking place. Enjoy the show very much.

HUGE AND EASY TO GET AROUND
Still huge although the food court was a little disappointing. Very hard to get a table and hard to even find a coffee in that area. Good range of shops. Went there on black Friday and place was busy but still not as crowded as previous visits.

    Best In Class
This mall is one of a few favorites offering a world class collection of fine stores, entertainment and food options that’s hard to beat. I also like the fact that it’s outdoors since Honolulu has the perfect climate (not too hot, not too cold and except during storms) for comfortable walking and browsing. Too bad Saks closed in the International Marketplace. It would have been perfect here with the other upscale department stores (Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Bloomingdales). Even the Macy’s here has a better and broader selection of designer merchandise than you find in most. Great place to spend the day when you get tired of the beach.

    Mind boggling mall!
As it is mentioned online, this mall is very large! I rated it the highest mark, as I haven't been to nor don't think I'll get to another mall this big again. There are so many stores to see, and we didn't have a long enough time here, as we had toured a museum in Honolulu late morning, then decided to get off the Waikiki bus to go to the mall, early afternoon. Seeing the floor plan, after I returned home in central Canada, I had missed seeing some stores that I could have gone in to. It was a bit confusing, knowing which way to go, as there are branches of corridors, off of the main corridor. In one area, we had to cross the path through the parking garage, where cars were coming in and out of! We picked up some items at the wonderful grocery store, Foodland Farms. We were also able to enjoy a show of Hula dancing at the main stage, in the mall. Although we enjoyed looking around, we didn't purchase anything.

World's largest open air shopping center.
This mall is huge and has pretty much every store you might want to shop at, including luxury high end stores, and even a Foodland grocery store. I read that it is the world's largest open air shopping center. We came here to walk around and to watch the free daily hula show at 5pm on the Centerstage. The mall is both outdoors and indoors and has free parking. To get to Foodland, we had to walk across the parking lot from the rest of the mall. This Foodland was very convenient for us since we stayed in the Waikiki area while on Oahu.

Large selection of shops in a nice atmosphere
The Ala Moana Center in Honolulu is the world's largest open air shopping center with over 350 shops and over 150 food options. It offers shops for every need in every price segment, from inexpensive shops to 4 department stores to luxury boutiques. In addition, it also offers a variety of entertainment options such as free Hawaiian Hula shows and fashion shows. There is a huge free parking garage available for those arriving by car. Since it is very close to Ala Moana Beach Park, it can be easily connected. A stroll through the tropical ambience of the Ala Moana Center is particularly suitable on cloudy days, but keep in mind that prices in Hawaii are higher than those in the mainland US.

    Mostly high-end shopping
Depending on what you're looking for, this mall can be the right place or a waste of time. Most of the stores are high-end luxury chains that I had no desire to shop in; however, there is a food court and other dining options, and it's a nice place to walk through in the open air if you have a bit of time to kill I was disappointed not to find any local businesses to shop in. Very conveniently located near the Ala Moana beach and park.

    A Shoppers Paradise
You can really shop until you drop here. Plenty of branded stores as well as Hawaiian branded stores. You can spend as much or as little as you choose. For those under the misconception that items at the high end stores (Gucci, LV etc) are cheaper than the main land, the savings are minimal and in some cases not even 2% if that. For example the price of Gucci shoes in Hawaii is the same as mainland but handbags do carry a discount. Sales tax is cheaper here if you pay over 5% in your home state.

January sales are sooo good here some things as cheap as waikele outlets but you have to search for things. This place is so large unless you rush around you will need more than a day. Lots of places to eat both food court downstairs and also the lanai upstairs with good restaurants. Coming back for sure.

We stayed in Waikiki for 6 nights and 3 of those days we came to Ala moana center. The food court here is amazing and prices reasonable. The mall itself is huge with a foodland also. A taxi typically cost around $10 from Hilton Hawaiian village and taxis are easy to find near foodland. The kids loved waking in the mall and playing games in the arcade.

The Ala Moana Center was amazing!! My family loved it, there were so many shops that we could go and check out, and a bunch of dining options that were so good. It was not that busy and if you need a place to go when you don't have anything planned then go to the center!!! Throughout the day in the middle of the center, there is this stage where you can o watch a mini luau for free!! The luau tells such a great story is so good. A lot of effort for the dancers to show up on a stage with over 100 people watching them. there is this one restaurant in the center that is so good it is like this store and they cook the food in front of you.!!! They don't have many vegetarian options but I suppose they won't way because it is such. The meals are very expensive like 80 per person but I suppose it is that way because they cook it in front of you. Overall it is not that busy and I loved the experience.

If you need more than just a cup of Starbucks to refresh yourself, be that mid morning or mid afternoon, Ala Moana is a pretty good place to stop for a couple of hours a a whole day. The 2 big food courts truly caters to most anyone's craving for a bit different the fast food joints on the mainland. With over 300 some stores covering the very affordable to chic brand name boutiques, they got it all here. Our 1/2 hour stop turned out to be 5 hours and repeated 3 times in 2 weeks. Worth it, every bit well done.

Great place to people watch, eat, shop, or just hang out. There is a shop and eatery for every taste. The mall is exceptionally clean and typically every time you enter the public restroom, the janitorial staff is cleaning.

We spent several hours over several days taking advanced Apple training classes at the Apple Store. The screen is huge with plenty of seating.

Every high end shop is available and the food court is so large you might get lost.

East to get to from the Honolulu Trolley and city box. You can even walk there, a good exercise walk from Waikiki. But if you walk the entire mall, you’ll plenty of exercise.

Great enjoyable mall. I agree, more of a Center. Oh, you can even buy a Tesla.

We were just In Waikiki for a week at the Hilton and wanted to visit this mall after a number of years.

Great variety of shops where we found some very good items at a variety of prices. Purchased (2) great Hawaiian designed iPhone covers at a kiosk with great service and you can get sparkly "bling" items added. They had a very large selection.

It's a typical mall, with stores similar to what you'd expect to find in any large city mall elsewhere in the US. The only difference is its free daily hula dance show at 5 pm sharp which is very entertaining even though it is fairly short (maybe 15-20 minutes in duration). The performers are very good at what they do.

Hula performance aside, it is a big mall with a good variety of shops and services, which offers a down-to-earth alternative to the pricier, more upscale boutiques found in Waikiki.

The Ala Moana Centre was just a short walk from the second floor of our hotel (Ala Moana Hotel) and across the car park into the mall.

This mall is the worlds largest open-air shopping mall and the ninth largest shopping mall in the United States.

This mall offers upscale retail shopping, a large food court, a large Japanese only food court and beer garden, a supermarket and lots of bars and restaurants.

If you dont like shopping like myself, I spent time in one of many bars offering happy hours whilst my wife had some retail therapy.

The mall has something for everybody.
