This was a must see for us. It's a pretty easy hike and the views from the top are worth it! The admission price is also hard to beat. For pedestrians to enter the park is $1/person. A car is $3 I think. No need to book a Diamond Head tour to get there. TheBus from Waikiki is $2.50/person each... More

The trek to the top of Diamond Head is well worth the climb. Tennis shoes or some sort of flat shoe will make the hike easier. There are places where it is completely dark, so keep the flashlight on your cell phone handy. The view from the top is stunning. It takes about 45 minutes to hike to the top... More

I did this walk by myself on quite a warm day. The walk itself is not too bad but I don't think you would want to do it if you are not confident in your fitness. The start of the path makes it look easier than it is as it is nice and easy, concreted, with an easy incline. Once... More

Gorgeous views, great exercise. Just one dollar to get in and easily accessible via the public city bus.

This is only a short hike up to the top of Diamond Head but it is steep and can be strenuous at times. Make sure to do it early in the morning before it gets too hot. Its about 30 mins to the top. The views of Waikiki are just awesome. We caught the #23 bus which drops you off... More

I went there with my 11-old-year son. He enjoyed it. To go from and to Waikiki there are cabs that offer the ride for 3-5 dollars each person at the bus stops. It is very hot in the crater, so wear appropriate clothes and take water and sunscreen with you. Also you will requiere good shoes for walking on uneven... More

I am an Old Person with gimpy knees, but keeping a moderate pace I made it to the top and took lots of postcard-grade photos. The weekend bus service to and from Waikiki is reduced, so expect to wait a half hour or so for the next one.

Get there early as it gets hot and the large tour groups start to arrive by 9:00am. I hike a lot and it was a good workout, lots of steps. Be aware this is not a cake walk, all up. Only 3/4 mile but uphill. Views are beautiful.

We did hiked Diamond Head at sunrise and it was so busy, but man the views for amazing. We were already sore from the hike the day before and there were places to get over so the other walkers could go past. Highly recommended for anyone going to Oahu.

This is a must see. Be sure to start early in the day. The trail isn't very difficult and there is room at certain points in the trail to move to the side to take a break and let others walk past you. Be sure to take a flashlight. There is one point on the trail where you walk through... More
