The view of Honolulu and Waikiki from the top of the extinct volcano Diamond Head is spectacular. The trail is very rugged, sometimes steep and interspersed with a total of 237 stair steps (including 99 steps in one flight). If you are in good shape,...More

After a bit of a hike up the mount, the view was absolutely stunning. Make sure you take plenty of water, as you will need it on the way, but a must to do while in hawaii

From the top, the views are spectacular with sweeping views of the coastline. The hike up takes about 25 minutes if you are in decent shape, a bit longer if you need to go slower. The trail starts as pavement but after about 1/4 mile...More

This was a great "hike" and the views were great for not too much effort. If you are an in shape younger(ish) person this is a good walk with elevation and stairs. For seniors it's a hike. I was with my 70 yr old dad...More

Parking is limited. Many park in the state park and walk in. There is a long walk to the top 1.5 hours on average. Bring water I expect it is well worth the view.

Did the diamond head trek and the view at the top was amazing! This trek was much easier of all the treks that I did. Took about a good 20-30min walk up to the top depending on your pace. Would definitely do it again!

We live in Washington state, and often take walks along paved trails. This is a paved trail. There is some decent staircase elevation, but nothing you can’t handle. This is a must visit for the views, the pineapple smoothies at the end, and the ease...More

This is a must-do when at Waikiki. We caught the Number 23 bus from outside the US Army Museum for 2.75$, which dropped us at crater. It costs 1$ to get into the state monument. There is seller, selling water at the visitor booth area....More

On Saturday mornings there is an amazing farmers market. We got all kinds of yummy food there. Diamond Head is also very close to Waikiki.
