Overview
More
Since opening in January 1999, the Battleship Missouri Memorial has attracted more than 8-million visitors from around the world with a fascinating tour experience showcasing the USS Missouri’s unique place in history. Located a mere ship’s length from the USS Arizona Memorial, the Mighty Mo completes a historical visitor experience that begins with the “day of infamy” and sinking of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and ends with Japan’s formal surrender aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945. The USS Missouri had an astounding career over five decades and three wars – World War II, the Korean War, and Desert Storm – after which it was decommissioned and donated to the USS Missouri Memorial Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Association operates the Battleship Missouri Memorial as a historic attraction and oversees her care and preservation with the support of visitors, memberships, grants, and donations.

Took the well organised bus over to big mo and the pride of everyone around was infectious. Short lines and informative staff greeted us. Great access all around the ship - lots of staff there to give information and history talks. View out to memorial....More

The battleship is really interesting but you have to get on a coach at Pearl Harbour and then wait until the road bridge is open to go. When you get off you join a very slow queue because they make you stop for photos, it...More

The “Mighty Mo” is quite impressive! There is a lot of walking and stair-climbing between the decks, so I would recommend wearing tennis shoes. There is a ramp for wheelchair access, but it’s lengthy! However, it’s worth the effort for someone that needs ambulatory assistance!

Easy access with a small group tour. Just a short walk and we entered the area - no long security check since you are not allowed to carry any type of bag that requires a search. My wife used a clear, hard plastic bag that...More

This is something everyone should see. It is great for all ages except maybe very small children. This is a treasure and the tour guide was great.

The four of us (dad/mom/17/14) visited the Missouri as a part of the Passport to Pearl Harbor package. We augmented the package with the Heart of the Missouri tour. The history of the ship is really quite interesting especially when you realize she saw duty...More

Great place to go and see and have a feel of what it was like to be in a grand battle ship. Wear a confortable shoes and clothing. Involve a little of walking up and down a ladder as you move around the ship.

It was $24 to tour a few places on the outside of the ship. If you want to see anything inside, it is an additional fee. Optional pictures of you with the ship are $50. I thought that was pricy. Nice guy picked us up...More

It is closed for repairs. A boat takes you as close as possible (I think its both end of the sunken ship) but you cannot walk onto the memorial
