This place is like a must to do. It is a historic area, and if you want to know part of WW II, definitely you need to go. There really wasn't much to see in the memorial itself, but you can complement your visit with the museums.

I love history and am a dedicated visitor of national parks, memorials, and historic sites. So it pains me to leave a poor review of such a solemn site...but I must.

First the fact that you MUST check your bag, no matter how small. For $6. Ridiculous. My wife and I also had no idea you needed advance reservations for the ferry to the actual memorial, so we spent about an hour waiting first in a standing line, and then in a messy seated line. When it was time for our group to go, an employee shouted aggressively at the gathered groups.

The memorial itself had striking architecture, but there really wasn't much to see...just a few pieces of crusted metal of the Arizona peeking above the water. Pretty limited exhibits or displays. I think there were other exhibits inside, on the mainland, but we didn't have a chance to see those.

Special shoutout to Park Ranger Daniel, who was very friendly and helpful!

It was amazing to see the exhibits at Pearl Harbor. A visit to the USS Arizona was the highlight. I highly recommend booking reservations in advance. Although it’s free, there is a $1 per person reservation fee to secure your spot on the ferry over to the USS Arizona Memorial. There was a long stand-by line of people waiting for a spot in the sun.

This as the highlight of the Pearl Harbour experience was closed. This should never occur and most especially for a gangplank not fixed. People come from all over the world so you would think they could keep up repairs.

A must for anyone with an interest in history or the military. Visited the Arizona Memorial by boat, booked $1 tickets ahead of time. Also visited the Bowfin submarine and the submarine museum. Walked around the harbor edge and read the helpful plaques. The Arizona especially is a serious place deserving of respect, so I wouldn't recommend the Arizona for younger children. A large site to walk around and most of it is directly in the sun. Bring a hat!

This is the second time I visited Pearl Harbor, and it is always a great experience. A lot has been said and a quick research should show all the major points of interest, including obviously the Arizona memorial, which nowadays you need to reserve your tickets in advance (they are free, or almost, but you need to get those - there is a daily limit of the number of visitors that can take the ferry.

At any rate, try to book the free tickets far in advance; if you can't, I would suggest not to pay for the various tours that charges anything from $50++ for a glorified bus ride. Instead, arrive early for the stand by - you are very likely to get a spot unless it is really a bad day. That worked for us well.

Also, if you can avoid going on the peak of high season, it would be a much more touching experience - I felt that the large crowds being hearded in and out of the memorial takes out some of the emotional power, although if you can't avoid, it is definitely still worth going

In addition, you can also tour
- the USS Missouri, where the Postdam declaration was signed - you probably saw that on the movies - it should take less than 1 hour
- the USS bowfin submarine, which is interesting is you have never been in a submarine, also less than 1 hour
- the aviation museum, where you actually sit down and grab some food. It has a nice collection of crafts and it is expanding. You need to take a shuttle to arrive there, the tour itself may last a bit over an hour.

Also, it can be pretty hot there so I suggest packing fluids and coming in the morning.

The USS Arizona Memorial is a must see and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Hawaii. If you plan on visiting the memorial I would suggest taking the first boat tour on the day of your visit. The tour should start on time and the memorial will be less crowded.

When visiting Pearl Harbor you can get a package tour that includes the Missouri, Bowfin, and Aviation Museum. If you can spend the whole day, the package tour is worth it. The only thing I was disappointed with was the audio tour, which you can skip.

Took an uber from Waikiki to visit the memorial and USS Arizona. The Arizona tickets had to be booked ahead of time online for $1 each for a transaction fee, otherwise it is free to visit.

We arrived about an hour early to view some of the exhibits inside the buildings, then to see the USS Arizona. They ask you to arrive an hour early to find parking if needed and check in (we didn't need to worry about parking and you couldn't check in to the USS Arizona until 15 minutes prior - they would shoo you away if you were too early). We did the 10am tour and it was bustling. You are only allowed wallets, phones, camera, water bottle (no bag policy with a few exceptions - see website for details). People still came not knowing about this rule even though it is written multiple times when booking - but they do have locker storage available.

The USS Arizona memorial tour was informative and moving, as were the exhibits on land. The boat was full, we managed to snag 2-seaters both ways but most people have to sit next to strangers.

After returning back to shore, we walked along the water to finish seeing the other memorials. We spent about 3 hours total here before ubering back to Waikiki. Plenty of ubers around on both ends, did not have to wait long.

The boats are not running to the Arizona. And the parking is a nightmare! Otherwise it's an informative memorial location.
