Rude, unhelpful - do these people actually WANT to sell chocolate?

We are staying at Long Wharf and specifically walked over to Bowen's Wharf (despite the remains of Winter Storm Jonas) to visit Destination Chocolate. The interior is attractively laid out, with displays of packaged chocolates in the centre of the room. Not all are labelled, so we had to ask whether the dark chocolate balls were malt or something else.... More

Don't waste your money here, go to Kilwin's. The chocolate is overpriced for below mediocre quality.

We were killing time waiting for our scheduled trip on a schooner. Loving chocolate and thinking of taking some home for gifts, we stopped at Destination Chocolate. The candy looked amazing and were well displayed. The woman behind the counter was eating a salad (no biggie -- everyone needs to eat). However, not once did she greet us, ask if... More

Staff are simply awful. Selling candy is a happy thing, but not for them. I asked to buy just 6 chocolate malt balls (in their jar--usually sold by the pound in candy stores) instead of about 35 that they prepacked. One salesperson said no. The apparent owner then said yes and proceeded to open the package, take some out, and... More

I wondered when I was in the shop if we had just happened to catch the saleswoman on a "bad day", but I see from the other reviews that this was not the case. She was unfriendly and abrupt-- good thing she sells a product that sells itself! I purchased a 4 pack of the most unusual chocolates because they... More

Destination Chocolates is a required destination for me every time I am near Newport. The Salted Caramel chocolates are my favorite. The flavor combinations are exceptional, and each piece is beautifully crafted. If you have small children with you, there is a special candy room for them with jars of kid-friendly candies they can select.

I stopped in here with my family several years ago and had my first taste of these chocolates. I loved them. I do not like commercial candy bar chocolate but I do love well made chocolate. They have wonderful flavor combinations that I enjoy. My husband will often times order a box or two and have them shipped to us... More

We visited this store twice. MM, The saleswoman is LOVELY. Purchased chocolates the first time(they arent MADE there, but still delicious). The second time we visited was during Winterfest. They did 'make your own marshmallow snowmen'. The kids loved it.
