Being froom the South I always thought beaches were a Southern thing and New England was just abunch of rocky cliffs. Easton Beach is a real beach with a wide sandy beach, great parking (that is not free) and a wide paved walkway along the...More

This is a beach that you should not swim at. The tides are red and there is red seaweed everywhere. Not only does it have a bad smell, but it can also bring on bugs and bacteria to your body. If you can't swim at...More

This is not a beach I would swim at. It has thick red seaweed everywhere! My kids were covered head to toe. I had to hose them down for a good 15 minutes to get it out of their hair. It was disgusting! The ocean...More

Beach is beautiful but if there is red tide do not go in the water. The seaweed has sea lice and is packed with bugs and gets into your hair and is difficult to remove. Bugs everywhere. When we got to the beach a little...More

My wife and I really loved this beach. If our 9-year old was with us, he would have loved it too. Out of the two main beaches (Easton's and Bailey's), Easton's is much easier to park (paid lots for $10/day, free lots for 90-minutes, parking...More

We had a view of the beach from our house. Very pretty (even with interesting red seaweed). The sand is very nice, but since we had cool weather we couldn't really stay to enjoy.

I've been coming to Newport for years as well as renting a house for a few summers back in the 2000's. Honestly, the only good thing about this beach has dissappeared...the ABC right on the beach. That now, is a banquet hall for weddings and...More

A very nice, classic New England beach. Cool water and warm sand. The local version of sea kelp is reddish brown which creates a cranberry colored tide at waters edge. It's natural! Enjoy!

I don't know if it is raked or not. I have been twice in the winter/spring. One time the beach was pristine. The second was a day after a blizzard hit New England. Part of the beach was covered with large clams but the... More
