Fort Adams is the largest seaport fort inthe US named after President Adams. I recomend the guided tour which takes an hour. The fort has never fired a shot in hostility. The park is spacious, large and beautiful. The park also hosts a numberof events...More

Spectacular views! Informed guides! Such a sense of history and important site! I didn't like all of the signage for the Jazz Festival which was EVERYWHERE! Bonus: Del's Lemonade stand awaits you after completing your visit!

Fort Adams was a great place for the Newport Jazz Festival. Beautiful views, plenty of space and an opportunity to visit a historic site. We accessed it by water taxi, but it is accessible by automobile.

Four stages with live music from 11am -6pm. The greatest jazz that this country has to offer and the best view of the harbor sailing. There are water taxis from Newport, if driving is not your thing.

I went with family in July. I have been here before, but many years ago. Thankfully you have a choice to go or not go into the tunnels. The guide is funny and makes it so interesting!
