The history of this house and it's family is quite interesting what is nice is that the house has many original furnishings and artifacts. Since it was a wealthy family it was pretty clever to see the advanced type furniture refrigeration heating and even inside...More

Wow, I can't believe they still maintain this property as well as they do. It makes sense since it is the home of the driving force to establish the region as something other than wilderness. The home furnishings are the most amazing to me. Both...More

The facilities are wonderfully maintained and you can get a real feel for the history of the place. It is really wonderful that so much of the original furnishings are there.

We loved this home, mostly kept in tact by the family and historical society. Also we were lucky enough to see 'the Marquis' the day we were there. He came out and gave us so much information about himself, his time, his wife, and the...More

Really enjoyed the history in this home. 95% of the furnishings etc are the originals. The wife left the home and never came back. Someone was hired for 50 years just to care for the home.

Very interesting history of the town of Medora 1886-1889, and the Marquis de Mores who named the town after his wife. The dwelling gives you a good idea of what people lived like in those days.

Definitely worth the price of admission to visit this unique home and learn about Medora history. Many of the furnishings and items are original due to the fact that the Mores family had a caretaker living in the house until it was donated to ND...More

Took Grandkids to the Chateau, Grandkids were interested in seeing how the better off people lived in the day. Most of the tour guides were informed and helpful. Interesting place.

This is an interesting home. Very elaborate for the time. Especially when you consider it was " just a hunting cabin". This was not considered the main home for the family. 95% of the furniture belonged to the family
