Was really looking forward to this, but by the time we got there after lunch.....it was closed. Seems if the chamber of commerce is going to promote Cottonwood Falls as a day trip, they need to make sure everything is open. Disappointed.

It is worth a trip to Cottonwood Falls to visit Judith Mackey's gallery. She paints the Flint Hills from her heart and it come through in her beautiful painting.

Worth a visit just to see Judith Mackey's spectacular paintings of the scenic Flint Hills. A variety of scenes from sunsets to stormy skies to old west ranching in all seasons. The images of the annual burning of the pasture were especially nice.
