We weren't planning on visiting Flagstaff, hadn't heard much about it, but we ended up here because we were hungry at time for dinner. Some places were closed, but the town was more interesting than we originally thought and we ate and walked around a little and ended up having a good time. There are other gorgeous cities in Arizona... More

What a nice part of town to walk around, eat, have coffee and shop. We enjoyed a few hours just strolling through this district.

The old town is a bit spoilt with the iconic if noisy route 66 dividing the oldtown from the railroad. There are still plenty of trains coming through and it's always a thrill to feel and hear the rumble of train a few feet away. The heart of the old town (according to a few locals we asked) is Heritage... More

We wanted something to do, so we chose to shop around here for unique souvenirs instead of going to the Flagstaff Mall. Glad we visited because there was lots to see. We visited several shops, a coffee shop, and a brewery/restaurant through out the day. It was easy to get to, so we even came back in the late evening... More

We visited Flagstaff during the Christmas season for an afternoon day trip on a weekday (we stayed in Sedona). It was cold but not snowy or rainy. Parking was not especially difficult. There are a number of quaint shops and restaurants but a number of businesses were closed which was a little disappointing. He area is walkable and decent for... More

What a cute town, loved being on historic Route 66! We had very cold weather, 13 degrees when there and coming from the north loved seeing the ice and ice dams on so many roofs in town! Not what we expected to see in Arizona!!!

Downtown Flagstaff has a great mix of shops, local and some national chain type places (like coldstone creamery) but it's a nice place to stop for sure. You can eat drink and peruse the local culture- from Native American jewelry and crafts, herbs, outdoor gear, books, to chocolate shops, sushi and brew pubs... Parking is horrid, it's best to park... On our way from Sedona to Grand Canyon, we stopped in Flagstaff, which once was one of the main stops on AZ part of the legendary Route 66. There's a big parking lot, just close to the railway station, so it was easy from there to explore. It's a small town with many cute shops and restaurants. Snow gave it... More

Did some shopping in the cute little shops. Fun talking to employees who are mainly students and learning about them.

Enjoyed our time in Flagstaff historical district. Lots of restaurants and quaint stores over a 3 block area. Easy to spend a few hours.
