We just finished the tour of the Riordan Historic Mansion (tour duration: 45 -60 minutes) and we were extremely impressed. The $10 tour fee goes toward the preservation and maintenance of the mansion and grounds. It was totally worth every dollar. The park doesn't get any funding from the state so every visitor matters to the continued survival of this... More

I found myself cooling my heels in Flagstaff here to spend a few hours. Thinking I was going to the state park I went to exercise and take him some nature. This is basically a house and a parking lot. They are closed more than they are open and there's no real nature to see. This must be someone's gift... More

Riordan mansion is an amazing piece of history. The architecture, decor including deer head mounted in dining room Charlotte and staff knowledgeable and friendly. Tour worth the $10.

I'm so glad there are volunteers who keep this house open - we had an excellent guide to walk our group through the house. He gave us ample time to see each room and answered all our questions. The rooms are furnished so you can really get a feel for how this wealthy family lived. Take the time to do... More

I finally made it back to the mansion after many many years. This is a tour of a duplex mansion built by two brothers that made their money in the logging industry in Flagstaff. It was designed by the architect that designed the El Tovar hotel at the Grand Canyon. Each brother had a 6k+ sq ft wing of the... More

Riordan mansion is heaven for anyone who loves Arts and Crafts architecture and Stickley furniture. The hour long tour was very educational and we learned a lot about the history of Flagstaff. This is not an attraction for children (and adults) who cannot stand in one place and not touch things and be quiet. There are stairs and you are... More

Riordan Mansion is located next to NAU on Milton and Riordan Rd. Call ahead to find opening hours for your visit will be short, unless you want to look around campus. Plenty of parking and a tour of the mansion is recommended. Here shoes or sandles can be worm depending on the season. Very easy to miss so if you don't... More

The house and grounds offer a lot of interesting Flagstaff history. Thus the reason for the 5 "stars". The tour guide, however, is not the most pleasant person on the planet. If you are an inquiring type, questions are frowned upon. Pictures are not allowed to be taken inside the part of house that is done to period. They may... More
