Small museum full of history. This is a great place to visit Arizona's past. Joe (the museum's curator) makes history come alive with his knowledgeable stories. He has answers to all your Arizona questions. The museum has exhibits inside and around the building outside. A great place to spend a couple of hours with the family reliving history. Fully encourage... More

Arrived around 3:00 PM and was told they were closing in 30 minutes. They didn't charge me admisson, but allowed me to walk through the indoor part of the museum. The draw for me was the suggestion of a Rt 66 exhibit. I must have missed it as there was maybe a single display case on that subject. I have... More

A self guided tour with examples of early life and plenty of history. The buildings on the grounds were excellent examples of the pioneering spirit that settled the area. The train was pretty awesome as well!

The detail of this museum was amazing. My daughter and I had a wonderful time just looking at this collection. So much fun. Great rainy day activity.

Currently they have a review of the mother road, highway 66. But in addition to that, it is located in an historical building that used to be a hospital for the poor. Two floors of antiques related to its personal and Flagstaff history. Outside is a variety of items and buildings. There is a lumber train, what looks to be... More

This museum offers a casual, go at your own pace stroll through the history of Flagstaff and surrounding area. It's loaded with artifacts and readings that keeps your attention. The outside grounds has interesting exhibits to visit as well. Worth the money.

This museum will give you the history of the area. Nothing outstanding but okay for the nominal admission fee. I guess this place used to be a hospital and you get that feeling when you are in there.

A nice place to spend some time on a rainy afternoon. The Route 66 display was fantastic. All the other displays are arranged by years. It was very interested to see an iron lung. The staff is friendly. Unfortunately due to bad weather, we did not go through the outdoor displays.
