Very nice plaza providing ample amounts of support for troops lost or missing throughout the last few wars. The layout is nice and frames well with the courthouse. Definitely worth a quick run through if you're in the area.

This square has a really picturesque courthouse, with a yard full of monuments, and the back is the best palce to take a photo of Scranton's famous "Electric City" sign. Early Sunday is nice for parking although the sun is best positioned for the sigh...More

We enjoyed our walk around the square at night, taking photos of the Electric City sign, fountains and grand building.

The Lackawanna County Court House sits right in the middle of downtown Scranton. It is beautiful building with much history. When in Scranton a place not to miss.

This is one of many buildings that show how buildings were made many years ago. They have stood the test of time and have very beautiful interiors.

This is not a must see, but if you enjoy history and architecture, this is a pleasant walk around a beautiful building. It takes approximately one hour to view and read all of the inscriptions on the many monuments located on the courthouse Square. A...More

Not much to really get very excited about...the heroic quote wall is disingenuous and cliche but the fountain is cool and the courthouse architecture is really great except for the cheap addition they ruined the building with...right idea but it looks like they ran out...More
