If you are in Sitka and enjoy aboriginal art, this place is not to be missed. Only a short walk from the dock and has something for everyone. You will also learn about the local flora and fauna. Small admission fee but well worth it.

A great museum to visit while in Sitka. The museum has lots of First Nation memorabilia that had been collected over many years. Very interesting to see all.

Unfortunately, this site is not open at the moment, but appears to have great historical value for preserving totem poles and other historical items pertain to Sitka and the Indian natives of this area.

This small museum is full of old Totems from throughout SE Alaska - the real thing- not overly commercial at all. They also offer classes for local residents in some of the traditional forms of carving, weaving etc.

The native culture of the Tlingit tribe is well preserved in this small museum. The clothing was fascinating. Some made from fish skins for lighter wear, but intricately stitched and preserved. The art and crafts were also very intricately designed in beautiful colors.
