On a nice day, this is a pleasant walk with a very nice view out over the harbor. This little town has a lot of history associated with it. You can learn some of it her3e.

Small, reasonably priced museum. Docents very knowledgeable and friendly. Interesting photos also of the tsunami.

Nice views from castle hill, easy walk up with lots of interpretive information to browse. A really fascinating story of Sitka of old and Russian Alaska. Thank god for Mr. Seward!

Even though the actual castle burnt down years ago it is still a great place to get your Alaskan history on the purchase of Alaskan territory

Plenty of informative displays that detail the history of how this place came to be. A great lookout point and we also saw hummingbirds here. There is a ramp or stairs access, could do with some displays of what islands you are looking at, etc....More

We walked from where the shuttles dropped us off. It is a short walk. Head towards the Cathedral, pass the Cathedral and the Pioneer house and you will see signs on the left that say where to go from there. There are some... More
