We enjoyed talking to the woman at the main desk. She was very helpful. It has a small aquarium and a fish hatchery. We were there during the salmon run, so we go to see them harvesting eggs and sperm. They have a touching tank...More

This an interesting center. They work hard too keep the native salmon population thriving. It is small but lots of good information.

I enjoyed our visit here because I was finally able to identify a particular sea aneneme that I had previously seen while kayaking. There is a large variety of sea creatures on display. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Last trip to Sitka, this place was being renovated. This year we were able to get in and loved it! Includes the hatchery next door. The touch tank was cool and especially fun for kids. Cheap and informative experience!

Great fish hatchery, lost of information about Alaska fisheries and local conservation efforts. Great stop for kids. You also can get a great bowl of clam chowder from a food booth in the gift shop.

We enjoyed our tour of about two hours. And the Science Center is worth recommending to others, but the Raptor Center, Totem Park, Fortress of the Bear, and the Cathedral would be higher on our list.
