We selected this hike because it was rated as fairly easy. I did pick up a hiking guide which I will say was very helpful in ensuring that we went the right direction. Without this $1 investment, I'm not sure the trails would have been...More

Not overly difficult to get to. One of the easier hikes we traveled with three astounding overlooks. Make sure to go to each path as the views offer different angles and each is beautiful.

Great views , easy hike. Dogs loved it. There is also a Little Stony Man hike. Fun times ! Entire area has many trails and various ability levels and family friendly ones also.

Nice hike up to the summit of Stony Man Mountain. Path was well-marked and not very difficult - one of the better (and easier) hikes in the park.

This is well worth the effort to get a spectacular view of the Shenandoah Valley. There is a steady climb, but it is a well marked and wide trail.

Relatively easy walk which is rewarded with majestic views of Shenandoah Valley. Enter Shenandoah National Park, and the ranger can provide maps and directions. Convenient parking.

Great hike but very misty morning no view at the top today. Did enjoy the hike though. There is a guided hike a few mornings a week with a ranger

We had 3 kids, 5 and under. We climbed the rocks at the end, took our time, spent about 1.5 hours.

I don't see why not. As the others pointed out, dress in layers. It was a bit rainy and overcast when I went but it really gave the hike a very cool misty feel. I would definitely avoid ice! Have fun!
