This is a great hike for families with children who may not be up to some of the longer hikes in the park like White Oak Canyon. It starts on a fireroad, which is easy. After that it can get steep walking down to the...More

In October, the "falls" were more like a trickle going over some rocks. We were forewarned, but were expecting something a tad better. It's downhill all the way. It starts out on a fire road, but then gets exceedingly rocky the rest of the way....More

Map shown takes you nowhere near the trail. It's in the national park about 50 miles away. Never got there.

Every spot in SNP area is absolutely beautiful. No lack of water at the falls. Keep eyes open for bears when hiking the park. Park employees Great!

This was an absolute gem of a hike near Big Meadows campground. A moderate hike leads you to the largest falls in the area. Make sure you take a step off the path to the edge of the waterfall. There is no better feeling than...More

We were staying at Big Meadows Lodge and opted to go hiking to the Lewis Falls. We went down there on the AT and came across a bear and went back on the lower return trail (forgot it's name). I would recommend going back on...More

This was a moderate but steep & rocky (at times) 1.4 mile hike look. Took our 4yo and you better hold their little hands tightly when you get to the falls. Very much on the edge and the rocks are slippery.

Certainly not the best waterfall in the park but worth the walk down to see the view. There are two landings at the end of this trail - both are at the area where the water fall spills over the cliff. its a long walk...More
