Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among piñons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

Thanks for your nice words! We model ourselves after the great onsen spas of Japan. Surprisingly many of them (up to 50%) use well water and heat it, just like we do. All our tub water is taken from a highly mineralized 900 foot deep...More

Domo arigato (どうもありがとう)! Super nice staff, wonderful authentic Japanese surroundings, and a very good massage. A great relaxing way to start our trip to Santa Fe! NOTE: It can get a bit crowded, especially in the public areas. Book early!

We took our 21 year old son with us and we all had the "noes to toes" O My Buddha! this was the best. So relaxing and calm. I was floating on air when we left. The communal bath was nice too.

We have frequented private baths here. They are incredibly relaxing. This was our first time using the Grand bath. Though everyone is friendly, it's not a social. The bath is spacious, clean and nicely warm. We appreciated the jets, waterfall, soaking areas and comfortable loungers....More

Ten Thousand Waves is a Santa Fe gem. It's gotten a lot more expensive over the years, but also has made many improvements to the locker rooms and private baths. Go during the week, or at off hours for a better experience. Really unique and...More

Is there a way to enter the place and/or Spa without climbing those steps. Maybe parking on the higher level?

Of course. You can park on the upper level or use any of the call boxes in the lower lots to request a shuttle.
