I saw the camel shape rock while heading to Taos and immediately attracted my attention. Of course, I took a photo but had no idea that it would be something more to visit. Be prepared to see it after you leave behind the Santa Fe Opera, on your road to Chimayo and Taos.

You can view the camel shaped rock from the freeway which is how I saw it. We were able to take pics from the car. Its a cool thing to see from the car but not sure if its worth getting much closer look.

We drove by this four times. Although I am a picture taking tourist type, I never felt the definitive need to stop and take several photos. Whatever I could get just passing by was enough. Does it look like a giant camel in the high desert? Yes. Is it worth the stop? That's up to you.

I didn't have this on my list of attractions to visit, but we saw it from the gas station across the street & decided to go for a cool photo op. I'm glad we did, the view of the rock & mountains in the background are amazing.

years ago one was able to get close & today, obviously because people damaged it not so. It is OK if you have never seen it before but you can see it almost better from the highway.

This rock formation is visible from the highway. After trying to photograph it from the car we finally stopped and actually got pictures from the spot. Definately looks like a camel.

Totally cool. I have passed this monument several times and seen it from the highway next to it. Awesome. Must see.

Not much more to say. The posted pictures do it justice. I wouldn't go out of your way to see it, but you should at least watch for it from the highway.
