There are a few pieces of sculpture visible through the fences, but sadly the museum was off limits. Of course the gift shop was open. We had purchased the Cultural pass, and this museum was part of it. It will reopen in November.

When I am in a new place I always like to take the Docent tour if available. They highlight the significant contributions/art work and provide an overview for me. The visiting drawing exhibit was a wonderful experience. The museum is closed for restoration until 11/24/17....More

We were disappointed yesterday to find that the NM Museum of Art is closed for restoration until November 25. But they will be celebrating with a 100 Year Celebration Party, a free day-long birthday event. So I would certainly plan to attend if your trip...More

Nice collection and there was a great temporary exhibit of drawings from the British Museum on display. But, I really liked the patio area. It was beautiful, with large dahlias in bloom and ristras hanging -- it was great to just sit and take it...More

Enjoyed this museum a lot. Saw the British Lines exhibit which was very well done. The museum is located next to the Santa Fe plaza so it is easily accessible.

The courtyard to this museum is exceptional and worth the visit. The building itself is a museum, vast wooden beams and has a very Spanish feel. The Art work is a representation of New Mexican painters, only in two exhibition halls. The building itself with...More

The building itself is a masterpiece of Pueblo architecture. The collection is small, but includes works by a vast swath of well known artists. Many are the result of a donation in 1968 by Rebeca Salsbury James which included works by Georgia o'Keefe, Alfred Stieglitz,...More

This is a somewhat small museum. The second floor is limited in scope and interest. When we visited, there was a special exhibit on sketches and it included some famous artists including Rembrandt, Picasso, Davinci and others. There are lots of great museums in Santa...More
