Located on "museum hill" this museum is one of Santa fe's small jewels that are visited less than the state museums, which also are excellent. If you like Native American Art you should visit it.

One of the best museums I've visited. The Coe collection (on display now) is superb and very well explained. There are two other main exhibits, plus the gift show downstairs is an exhibit in itself. Very high quality goods. More kachinas that I have seen...More

This very small museum always has one exquisite, current exhibit. You won't get "museum'd out" here, and you'll see some things that you won't see elsewhere. It's also open Mondays.

Although not a very large museum, a wide range of exhibits show works from across tribes and time periods. The jewelry exhibit is breathtaking!

The Wheelwright is one of our favorite museums on Museum Hill. It is the furthest south of all the museums. There is now a $5 admission fee instead of the voluntary donation. It is worth it! The history of native american jewelry is the best...More

We visited this wonderful museum because we so thoroughly enjoy American Indian artwork. The museum is divided into two sections, one with examples of native artwork covering many years and the other dedicated primarily to southwest Indian jewelry and how it has evolved over the...More
