The plaza is a great place to people watch, there are lots of restaurants and shops, and it's close to the Loretto and Basilica. Parking is a nightmare, so be prepared to circle or pay.

This place has everything - shops, restaurants, street music, and the Indians selling jewelry/art at la Palacio. It's nice just to sit on a bench in the park and just watch the happenings. You can definitely get better deals on jewelry/art in the stores versus...More

Central to the history of Santa Fe and hard to imagine seeing the city without spending some time here. We enjoyed listening to music and watching people dance at the bandstand on a Saturday night. I think there is a group or two performing Tuesday...More

It is shady, and there are lots of benches. Sooner or later, everyone in Santa Fe walks through here. You never know what you'll see, and it's a great place to simply watch the world go by.

It is a nice square with some nice shopping in the old style of a bygone era. The day I visited they had a classic car show going on to make it even more interesting.

We come here every time we visit Santa Fe. There are many shops and places to eat and there's usually something going on in the plaza; this evening there was a band playing. And on the north side of the plaza, in front of the...More

Great place to walk around shop and eat. There was a band playing in the center. People were friendly. I bought a nice hand bag and my son bought a blanket. My husband waited out on the sidewalk and listened to the music.

Wonderful, but expensive shops and restaurants. A true gem and must do. The better buys for jewelry are found outside on the Plaza where Native Americans display their crafts on blankets spread out on the ground along one side of the Plaza. Their designs are...More

The plaza area has literally hundreds of shops and cafes nearby. The historical significance is amazing. Parking is a major problem. Be prepared to walk several blocks.

It varies as the vendors are all Native American and show up on their time. We were late risers and the vendors all seem to be there by 1000 hours.
