Most of the museum was closed for renovations. But it was half price to get in. There was a permanent exhibition upstairs. All kinds of 2d mediums were represented. They were mostly paintings done at a school for Native Americans, which the museum used be....More

We got in cheaper with a Groupon. The museum is kind of small, but there are some interesting pieces there. I liked that there was art in the courtyard as well.

We went in just because it was there. There were some interesting takes on the philosophy of being of Native American heritage. The art was interesting but not compelling. This is worth a stop, however, because the exhibits change and something wonderful might arrive. Quite...More

True to its name, this museum displays contemporary native arts in a variety of mediums. Admission is $10 for adults, but seniors, students and New Mexico residents get in for $5 - a bargain! And it's free on Sundays. Large museum shop.

Truly one of the gem museums/art centers of Santa Fe. Exhibitions of contemporary Native American artwork. A great museum shop and programming that shares traditions both new and old. Incredible staff, smart, engaged and always willing to help.

I've been visiting this museum for over a decade, and the revolving exhibitions are consistently the best of the downtown museums (no disrespect to the others intended). The curators do a great job of situating the art within the larger contexts of Indigenous culture and...More

A really stunning collection of modern art that gives you a window into the Native American Art Movement and shows the talent they have developed over the years. I must admit I did not fully understand all the pieces, but they certainly made an impact....More

Enjoyable experience checking out this museum. Especially impressed by the sculptures. The garden outside has multiple Allen Hauser sculptures, while inside there were some unusual pieces such as the fish skin hanging lanterns and the wood and metal “Bloodline.” Worth a visit.
