the views here were amazing. What a great location. I would have liked to find more interpretive signage--for example the totem pole there had no explanation

Interesting history of the dispute between the US and England regarding ownership of the San Juan Islands. If you can handle an uphill hike, don't miss the hike to the top of Young Hill. It's the best viewpoint on the island!

Free access, and a nice setting. Not sure what kind, but one of the oldest and most magnificent trees you'll find on the island. Easy downhill walk, and an interesting history lesson.

English Camp showed the ingenuity of the British troops as opposed to the Americans in American Camp.

Interesting piece of history one does not come across outside of Washington. Pleasant to walk around....if you watch out for the deer and goose droppings

Very interesting but modest display of history not very well known. Good movie intro, very small display. Very nice walking trails, wonderful views from redoubt on a clear day and startling watching fog roll off the straits.

We enjoyed a peaceful early evening walk at the English Camp, having first educated ourselves about the history of this quaint spot. The apple and pear trees planted way back by the troops provided particularly welcome food for the geese and dear!
