If they had been a bit more eager to serve customers (this tip is free to the bar). Really nice location though, the piano man was more interested in talking than playing. When the service personell was in the same zip code they were very friendly and smiling.

Live music and good service. I didn't eat food, but the drinks were reasonable and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. Plus, it's right next door to a great hotel!

Stopped in for a beer and to listen to the piano bar. the place is old, looks like an Irish pub, but the staff if friendly, attentive, the beer is ice cold and the piano players are good with a wide variety of music.

There were no other customers so we took out seats on the patio. The great thing about San Antonio and Riverwalk is the welcome and pet friendliness. We'd eaten brunch on the patio of a Mexican restaurant earlier and now it was afternoon. We'd walked and walked, and time to stop, have a drink and people watch. Sadly, the server... More

My husband and I were gonna stop here and have a few beers. We needed to use the restrooms first. As soon as we walked through the door all we smelled was VOMIT!!!!!!!! It was so strong it made me nauseous!!!!! I don't know how the people inside could do it!!! It was terrible. We ended up using the bathroom... More

Our waitress was less than friendly and we had to continually ask for things. One of our beers was served without salt (which we had asked for) their solution was to quickly Dump it into a glass with salt on the rim and wait for the foam to "calm down" before they brought it back to us, so we ended... I started going to Durty Nelly's back in 1987 when I was stationed in San Antonio in the USAF...and everytime I visit the city I make it a point to spend at least one evening at Nelly's! I was just there again in March 2017 and it is still as fabulous as it was 30 years ago. Nelly's has a... More

This was a fun place to drink and sing a long with the piano player. We had a lot of laughs and it was just a feel good place. Highly recommend.

Our family came into town so we decided to hit up a popular tourist spot on St. Pattys Day weekend. The piano man inside was whaling/the outdoor seating was just what you'd expect if you were in Ireland cozy & full of beer. People were social as if we transported to Dublin & the decor was GREEN! My hubby had... More

This is a wonderfully fun place especially when there's someone at the piano. The piano player was talented and really funny and had an amazing knack of getting the entire crowd (small or large) to participate in the fun. While the food is only average the overall experience is amazing. Highly recommend.
