The displays were varied and the museum gift shop was very reasonable. There are three floors to explore with amazing ceilings and decor. The Briscoe also has a large room to rent on the river side - it was great for a large wedding reception!

We chose this because my daughter loves art. I was surprise at how much our whole family loved this museum. We spent a couple of hours exploring. I would highly recommend if you like art, western culture or both!

Some quality pieces of history can be seen in this museum. The artwork can seem repetitive at times but the historical pieces bring home the brilliance of the area.

Enjoyable hour or so here. Great Western art fits right in at San Antonio and the Alamo atmosphere. Interesting and beautiful displays, dioramas and paintings and sculpture. It was free on Tuesday after 4pm. Enjoyable and historical. Thank you.

Enjoyed this museum much more than I thought I would. Some of the sculptures were fabulous. I would have appreciated more explanatory text for the paintings, but I did enjoy viewing them. A worthwhile stop.
