By appointment only! We strongly recommend booking at least 30 days in advance! Seriously!! San Antonio Western Shooting provides a safe, supervised fun Western Shooting Experience using real guns and real bullets. We provide instruction in the safe handling shooting of all guns. No experience necessary! You will have the opportunity to shoot reproductions of guns such as the Colt 1873 Peacemaker pistol in a western setting. When you get used to those guns we will have you shoot the double barreled shotgun. Shooters will shoot about 75 rounds and it will take about 3 hours, the cost is $130 per person. All of our shooting sessions are by appointment only! Sorry, no "fast draw" or "twirling" of guns is permitted. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are permitted onsite. Guests may bring observers at no extra cost. See our website and Facebook page for more information. Unruly children will be sold to the Comanche.

Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Learned about and shot many different kinds of antique weapons. They made accommodations so that even my young Asperger's son could enjoy the activities. Highly recommend!

My husband is very accomplished with guns having been a police officer and an instructor for the North Dakota state police at one time. I on the other hand was scared to death to even touch a gun. The instructors spent time educating us on the proper handling of the weapons of the "old west" and spend one on one... More

My husband and I wanted to do something "western" on our recent trip to San Antonio. We found this merely by chance when searching the web. We were a bit uneasy at first - not sure what to expect - however, that didn't last long at all! The cowboys were wonderful, fun, safe....they put us right at ease! We had... More

This was the most fun we experienced on our recent trip to San Antonio. The instructors are excellent and engaging. It's a great chance to use authentic replicas of guns and rifles from our American past, and includes a variety of shooting scenarios including targets and simulations of "wild west" scenarios. Great fun!

Excellent establishment, run by a bunch of fun Guys who really know their stuff. The atmosphere was friendly but they made it clear - no messing around once the guns were loaded. we used various weapons from six shooters to shotguns all done in a professional but fun way on several different settings. Highly recommend this place.

We had a fantastic time at a Place to Shoot. The guys were fantastic and gave each guest lots of attention. We brought our 13 year old son, Wilson, who has autism. He had a fabulous time and learned so much from the hosts. We really appreciated all of the patience and time that they took with him. It was... More

This was my first time shooting guns, so I was quite apprehensive at first, but all of the instructors were amazing, the experience itself was amazing, and my husband and I ended up having a really great time. Just make sure to check out their website, and make reservations for a selected date as sessions are always by appointment. Best... More

My 16 year old daughter and I had a great time learning a lot about western shooting. We will forever have a greater appreciation for the Wild West! We got to shoot rifles, pistols, shotguns. Unique experience and genuinely fun!

A great time we had here last year. Much much better than going to a shooting range. Instructors are great. and the guns are classic western guns. Small groups make the instruction more or less one to one and very safe.. A real highlight of our our trip to SA

I wasn't sure if I could cope with shooting but I need not have worried as the instructors were so good and made three hours such fun. We learnt all about the 19th century guns and had friendly rivalry between couples. The best bit was splitting a bullet by aiming at the blade of an ax head-on. Never in a... More
