You can't get more Texas than Pearl beer. This brewery is a beautiful landmark that stands out when driving on the highways around downtown. The limestone structure is now used for events, excercise classes, a culinary institute and more. You can also learn about the haunted stories surrounding it and about what was once the largest brewery in the entire state. You know it's big if it's in Texas and this is the largest of its kind.

I had never been to San Antonio and was thrilled with our visit. This is at the end of the river walk and I am so glad we came! The Pearl Brewery area has been completely rehabbed. The brewery itself is now a very upscale hotel called Hotel Emma. The interior decorator is an incredible job. It has a library,... More

Cute little shopping/dining venue-- service and shops varied depending on the proprietors. I think it is meant to be a slightly upper scale hot spot-- we were there early afternoon and a lot of the places weren't open yet. I can see this as a youngster (under 30) type of place and 30 years ago, I would've thought it was... More

The Pearl Brewery is no more but the property is great to visit. It has been revitalized and is filled with shops, restaurants, and a hotel. Some of the original buildings are still in use.

This district of the city is new, up market and interesting. There are some great restaurants, shops, areas to wall and sit . Depending on your budget, you could spend a few hours in the area, strolling and generally taking in the sense of renewal that comes with the project. This had been a large brewery complex and there is... More

Everyone raved about how I just had to go to the pearl brewery, no one told me it wasn't a brewery anymore. As a beer lover I was excited, then I saw nothing but overpriced yuppie type restaurants and shops. What a waste of time, being from NY this was everything I don't like about my city, don't let San... More

The Full Goods Building is a great resource for hosting parties. Can handle 150 +/- very comfortably. Even works in the winter with heaters. Will book again.

Well we started walking on the river walk and about 5 miles later we landed at the Old Pearl Brewery, and very thirsty. It is great to see old buildings preserved and in use like this. They have made use of all of the old equipment like converting the brew tanks into cool sitting areas. It is a must to... More
